The Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) is an international organization aiming to achieve social prosperity and growth of the digital economy by unifying efforts to advance digital transformation and promote common interests.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives related to the support of Digital / ICT businesses, in particular (M)SMEs and start-ups based in the DCO member states, e.g.:
    • Development of primers with information on international markets’ structure, dynamics, regulations and cultures to facilitate start-ups and (M)SMEs expansion to foreign markets (DCO (M)SMEs Market Expansion Primers)
    • Establishment of venture builder as well as of an innovation hub
    • Development of policies to facilitate expansion of (M)SMEs and startups to other countries
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Digital Space Accelerators – representatives of member states and other stakeholders – while executing initiatives
  • Coordinate the development of deliverable documents towards implementing initiatives
  • Provide expert opinions and advice to the DCO Secretariat on business environment support topics

Key capability requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in (M)SMEs or start-ups environment
  • 5+ years of professional experience with international teams and a variety of stakeholders
  • Professional experience with establishment of venture builders, accelerators, or innovation hubs
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in business, public policy, or digital-related area; Master’s degree is of advantage
  • Excellent leadership, collaborative, analytical and communication skills
  • Professional experience in developing international indices or awards is of advantage
  • Professional experience with women or youth empowerment is of advantage
